New Professional Image for Sils Auto - Happy 40th Anniversary!

New Professional Image for Sils Auto - Happy 40th Anniversary!

The non dealer automotive service and repair industry has been known for having a non professional, dirty image. I have seen in the last several years those indepndents who have risen above the rest and truly belive and show they operate a professional, highly qualified facility.  I have always tried to be a leader in this sector, as some of my peers out there. Professional staff, tools, training and technology.  So our recent upgrades in our office will reflect that image we want to portray. Clean, professional and a facility that says we are the choice to bring your vehicle to.  Thank you to all our customers as my team and I work hard for you the paying customer.  Thank you to my loving wife who on her actual birthday day spent it with me removing and tearing down the office. It is a family business

Air Bag Light On - Don't Think it's Important - Check This Out.

Air Bag Light On - Don't Think it's Important - Check This Out.

So vehicle hit another car making a left hand turn in front of them at an intersection. Police officer comments were that if the air bag had not gone off driver would have had Major injuries. Drive walked away with lots of bruises. Notice the air bag ion passenger side. It uses the front windshield to deflect the bag into the body of the passenger. When people have cracked or damaged windshields on passnger side the possibility of t he air bag exiting the vehicle versus deflecting into the passenger is highly probable. As for Air bag lights being on. The Ministry of Transporation on a safety inspection says it's ok, I feel it's NOT!. Air bag repairs and lights being on need to be fixed, as they do save lives. carlo sabucco Sils Auto Repair Mississauga and Oakville

Ontario Vehicle Safety Inspection and Drive Clean.

I get asked  often what do I have to do when selling my vehicle or buying a vehicle? Depending on how you want to buy or sell it varies. Most common is to sell the vehicle or purchase the vehicle certified and Drive Clean tested. Certified meaninng a Ontario College of trades registered technican has completed a specific inspection to ensure the vehicle complies with the necessary qualifications for the certificate form. A repair facility that is MOT approved should have the manual always present for reference. If the vehicle passes both the Safety Inspection and Drive Clean then you're good for a transfer of ownership. Use this link to access the governments site for more details. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/vehicle/used.shtml As for Drive Clean, it's fairly simple.  Peform the test and if it's a FULL PASS then you're good.
